Braces rubber bands!!?

I got them a week ago and was told to wear then all day except for eating and sports. They are so hard to change and wear in school and singing in chorus is incredibly hard! So my mom Sao just wear them when my you sleep I sleep for about 10 hours the bands ibhave are 2 on the left and right side so 4 all together in my mouth the bands go on the 4 back teeth . Is it okay to just wear them ll nightly
