Why I cant get a along with brazilian girls?

Im venezuelan. I have had classmates from Brazil, especially Sao Paolo and as soon as they find out im from Venezuela they start hating. They're always talking how brazil is so good and stuff like that (being extremely arrogant about their country, like a superiority feeling towards other south america countries) Im always open to make new friends and learn about their culture but they are just WAY too cocky..
