How do I get the 9 year olds in my camp group to like me?

Yesterday was my first day at my camp! Im a group leader for a group of 9 year olds. There are about 12 of them and last year I had 7 year olds who fell in love with me. These new girls seemed to really fall for the other group leaders (theres 2 others) and I feel like Im not even there! Im doing what I did last year and just tried talking to them, but they just aren't responding! Im being funny, nice, and fun like last year! I was hoping it would be like last year when I had 14 kids fighting to hold my hand! I sat by myself in the pool waiting for one of them to jump on my.... i got nothing hahaha!! How can I get them to open up to me and get clinging!? Thanks for all the answer! :)
